BEACH OF CALA VIOLINA
It 'located in the South and North of Follonica PuntaAla between Cala Martina and Cala Civette. One of the most spectacular bays in the Gulf of Follonica with clear beach, fine sand and gives its name to the place, because when we walk the sand produces a sound reminiscent of a violin. The clear sea offers the visitor a world populated by various species of marine fish and algae, an indicator of cleanliness and purity.
The coastline is surrounded by a green landscape formed by the very rich and dense Mediterranean scrub. At the hottest hours you can do a picnic or just rest in this beautiful Mediterranean scrub. The beaches are free beaches, there isn’t a rest stop, so as to preserve this beautiful and fascinating landscape. It’s possible to find tables equipped in the cool and well ventilated Mediterranean scrub.
There are two way to get to Cala Violina:
Route 1: From the road SS1/Via Aurelia / Cecina / Grosseto / Volterra Go SP152 exit and follow indications for Grosseto, continue in the direction of the SP158 Road Collacchie turn to the Puntone di Scarlino / Portiglioni, along the road for about 2 miles, past the marina to the paved road becomes gravel, up to the end of the road near a restaurant where you can go yard on a dirt road only on foot or by bicycle, after about 4 km we are Cala Violina.
Route 2: From the road SS1/Via Aurelia / Cecina / Grosseto / Volterra Go SP152 exit and follow indications for Grosseto, continue in the direction of the SP158 Road Collacchie, about 2 km north of Pian d'Alma / Punta Ala junction, turn to Cala Violina, along the dirt road for about 1.3 km, you reach a large parking fee of the hills, park and continue on the road only on foot or by bicycle, after about 2 km we Cala Violina.
