The Tagliata Etrusca
On the eastern shore of the promontory of Argentario, always lit by the sun of the Maremma Tuscany, between the lush Mediterranean vegetation, close to the limpid sea of the Argentario, There is "La Tagliata Etrusca". The Tagliata is a great work of hydraulic engineering dating back to the Etruscan-Roman period. Is a channel cut into the rock along the coast south-east of the promontory of Ansedonia, designed to avoid, with a system of currents, the silting of the ancient port of Cosa.
In Ansedonia there are many lidos with restaurant open during the summer. There is wide availability of free parking with the exception of the summer that becomes a toll parking.
