Natural Reserve Cornate e Fusini
Eastern part of the Metalliferous Hills, near the river Cecina.
Fusini is a mountain range 1000 Mt, presenting limestone overhanging cliffs, covered by dry grassland, but no less significant. There are various species of animals and birds of considerable importance to risk extinction. The vegetation is rich in species, the protection includes archaeological structures such as the Castle Fosini, the quarries of red Ammonitico and the remains of an ancient silver mine. Ideal for night viewing of stars, due to poor light in the area.
