Regional Natural Park of Maremma
It stretches along the coast from Principina, Alberese, to Talamone.
The Maremma Natural Park stretches for 100 kilometers, the coast is clear with sandy fine beaches , the trunks of trees brought from the sea, enriching the landscape, making it even more impressive. Subject to deep changes, is located on the south beach's most advanced, while in the area of Bocca d'Ombrone considerably backward. Furthermore, there are sand dunes covered with typical Mediterranean vegetation, painting the coastal landscape. Inside varied ecosystems, from swamps to pine forest.
The variety of wildlife and flora makes this place one of the most visited by thousands of tourists. Hiking trails tours, horse riding, bicycling, watching foxes, birds and other species typical of this beautiful area.
Many towers are present inside the park, like Torre dell'Uccellina, Collelungo and Castelmarino once lookout points for pirate attacks.
On Aurelia, take Rispescia-Albererse exit. Few km and you are at the park Visit Office in Alberese.
