The Castle of Rocchette
The castle stands on a promontory overlooking the limpid sea of the Rocchette. Probably it was in the past only a sighting location. It is formed by a square tower surrounded by a irregular wall. It includes a fort, an oven, a stable and a cistern. The fort, in very good condition, is now a private residence and is not possible to be visited.
In Rocchette there are lidos, restaurants, and many facilities such as campsites and hotels.
On New Aurelia (SS1-E80) exit at Grosseto Sud, follow directions , turn at the intersection of Follonica and Rocchette just after Castiglione della Pescaia (for those arriving from South), or at Follonica (for those arriving from North) and follow the indications for Castiglione della Pescaia.
